I sent mine back over two and half months ago.. still no sign of a replacement card.. I called USCIS and they said they received the card, and are "reviewing the file". (how long does it take to figure out the freakin photo is wrong?). Did not specify how long will it take before they issue a new one.

I have heard for short term consulting projects, they are supposed to provide the duration of a project and say, it is for 3 months, h1 gets approved for 3 months
Next project, get a new h1, so, if you add that up, they can collect 600 Mil

I too vote SBI.....do not use ICICI...
I have always used ICICI in the past...and recently started using SBI....they pay slightly more exchange rate than ICICI...and moreover it is a national bank....makes me feel good to use SBI compared to ICICI....

BTW...talking of Banks....I just rencely knew that the FED Bank in the US is privately owned....(might be old info for many...but not for me)...
so here money is printed and lended out to the US by someone private...(Rothschild family, if you have not heard of them google the name)

I love the color saturation on the first one. Very well done. My one complaint ( a small one) is that bright object in the grass a little above and to the right of the watermark. I don't know if it's a rock or a stump or what but I'd suggest cloning that out.

What is they give me similar title as in labor and add those duties that are in labor in addition to what is listed on the position? Would that be favourable case for AC21? or still there is big Risk?
I was looking at the SOC code for System Analyst and that's what it says.Also the code it shows is 15-1051 where as the labor shows 030-167014 - Not sure if these codes changed over the period of time.
Analyze science, engineering, business, and all other data processing problems for application to electronic data processing systems. Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations. May analyze or recommend commercially available software. Exclude persons working primarily as "Engineers" (17-2011 through 17-2199), "Mathematicians" (15-2021), or "Scientists" (19-1011 through 19-3099). May supervise computer programmers.
If I were you, I would look for opportunities that fall in line with your GC labor. System Analyst and Project Manager don't really go well together, leave alone the SOC codes. Your PD also seems to be quite close (relatively speaking).
If anything try to negotiate your external title with your prospective employer.

This is beginning to look more and more like a organized and deliberate attempt to block people from filing for AOS.....
Dude, the whole system is setup and organized wrongly deliberately..
In the guise of fairness and promoting racial diversity, the system is deliberately setup so that countries that supply most labor backlog all the time....
Phillippines for healthcare workers
Chindia for technology workers
Mexico for low skilled workers
This gives businesses that employ the imported labor the opportunity to exploit the employees at will.
There are always unused visa numbers and oversubscribed countries in the system all the time...this gives politicians the leeway to throttle immigration as they want...through the DOS bulletins...the July fiasco was just an extreme example of this practice....
Even if a point based system is brought in, the per country fixed quotas will not go away....and thus the retrogression will continue....yes, you qualify through the point based system, but since a lot more from your country qualify too...you go the end of the line...

Did any one heard of EB3 India 485 Approved after June 26? Looks like EB3 visa numbers for this quarter for India is exhausted! If so then who many will be available in next quarter?
When will the 40K unused EB quota of visa numbers will be available /open? In mid September? Can any of the Gurus explain this?
My friend took info-pass and he was told that the EB3 India visa numbers are over for now and his case may be approved in next quota.
Looks like the first 40K in the 485 queue whose processing is done will get there 485�s approved in late September.
For some one like me who files 485 in June chances of approval in this year is less.:confused:
I just want to set the expectations real so that we will not be subjected to perpetual checking of online LUD/Status, forums and also avoid huge disappointment.

here is what I found on one of the murthy's posts
According to Department of Labor (DOL) regulations, an employer must continue to pay the H1B worker until there is a �bona fide� termination of the employment relationship. It is not clear exactly what constitutes a �bona fide termination,� but one viewpoint is that termination occurs on the day the employer notifies the H1B employee that the position has been terminated and all obligations for payment of wages terminate on the date of employment termination. The other viewpoint is that a termination only occurs when the H1B employer notifies the INS of the termination, the H1B petition is cancelled and the employer complies with the return airfare obligation for the employee. Please note that INS does not expressly spell out the options and therefore this is an unclear area of immigration law. As it can take several months for the INS to act on a revocation request, employers generally do not continue to pay wages until INS takes action. The employer usually notifies the employee of the termination date and discontinues any salary or other payments at that time. Thereafter, they notify INS.

I am currently on H1 and have EAD through my wife (>180 d) (EB3 5/04). I am in a catch 22 situation. I am gettting a fellowship in one of the best program in the nation.
The problem is they dont want to sponser H1. Now if I utilize the EAD then there is always a risk associated. ALso my wife have to use AC21 to move to this place as well.
Have anybody been in this situation before? Is there anything to negotiate to push them to sponser H1b for me. Can you get H1b from a moonlighting position?
I'd appreciate the help. I really want to join this place and feel that they also really want me as a fellow. They just dont have enough courage to speak up in front of hospital corporate offices.

Thank you all for your responses. We just wanted to keep a plan B active. Both of us are on h1b and from India. After residency, she will have 3 more years on h1b, and I am entering 8th year on h1b, if we don't get GC after all this, we would like to try various options like India, Canada, Australia etc.. and that's why we started enquiring.

The reason for rushing the application is that it could retrogress midway during the month of July. It may seem unlikely but you never know. That's one reason to file it as early as possible.
But i did not know the attorney would like to file it in June for me. I just wanted to find out if anyone's sent it early and received receipt.
It doesn't matter if it retrogress midway during the month of July, USCIS must accept ALL otherwise eligible I485s filed by July 31. While Priority Dates could retrogress say in August, USCIS will adjudicate I-485 applications that were filed prior to retrogression only if the individual�s Priority Date is current at the time they review it. For example, if your Priority Date is EB-3 06/01/2006 and the August 2007 Visa Bulletin retrogresses that category�s date to 04/02/2006, USCIS will continue to hold your pending I-485 but will not process it until your 06/01/2006 Priority Date becomes current again. Therefore, one�s Priority Date (the date the Labor Certification Application was filed) will likely again supercede the filing date of the I-485. While it is important to file the I-485 by July 31, it is probable that no advantage will be gained on the basis of one having been filed earlier than another.

Remember I-140 is owned by your employer. If you quit the job your greencard process will start from PERM again with your new employer.
Portability applys six months after filing I-485.
