They will provide us the detail in October. Till then it does not matter that they wasted all our money, time and effort. Ofcouse the emotional turmoil is least of their consideration.

I also heard from my attorney yesterday that the checks are being processed now. I don't have any information other than that. Can I also call them and get the receipt numbers -- what information do I need to get the number? My case was sent to TSC...

Today I saw that my checks were cashed and I called USCIS to get the receipt numbers. The IO was very polite and gave me the numbers. Although I had filed at the Nebraska center, the receipt number starts with SRC (Texas).

Something like this would certainly spread the word in at least the indian/asian community.
Also, PERSONALLY send out emails to linkedln contacts/ various yahoogroups/alumni groups you are part of. I just did that.

Once the date, time, and agenda are fixed, we'll hit the roads.
We can also come out with a common flier.
Adding to this:
* Each major company in the bay area must have their own internal
network/alias. They can spread the word within and pool in more support
for this.

Guys I am looking at this thread for the first time today and want to put some comments:
1) 3 people were making hunger strike at SJSU over the last weekend for DREAM act and we come to know about it thru 1510 AM, KLIVE in Bay Area.
2) Immigration Voice members are planning to make a rally in SJ and we need to read it in the forum of (only) their website.
3) We are hungry about media coverage and want utmost attention of the congressmen about our issues.
BUT, you know what we are missing?:
1) No postings on the windows of those Bharat Bajars and Cash N Carrys and Kumuds. Can't the i-phone designers and router gurus make Ashas and Abhijeets invisible with some eye catching posters?
2) No postings on those other popular websites like murthy.com, immigration-law.com, bata.org etc. Did they say no for this?
3) No usage of the library notice boards.
4) No usage of SMS. Isn't it much cheaper than making contributions to the IV repeatedly?
I hope to see all these channels being utilized fully for July 14/21 march in Bay Area before we talk about CNNs and WPs.
Once the streets of SJ are hit with 1000+ people, those NBCs and CNNs and SJMs will come to us rather than we going to them.
As for myself, I am in whenever the event takes place and will try to bring at least 5 of my friends to the march.
P.S.: This is not an effort to criticize anyone here but just an attempt to help the organizers in whatever way I can.

If you expect the IV core to dedicate it's time JUST for a particular secction of people, then you need to justify that demand.
In your opinion, EB3 is a LOWLY category as compared to EB2. So it is not enough that Nurses feed from it and just about EVERYONE else feeds from it. To top it off, overflow from eb1 goes FIRST to eb2 and then (and almost NEVER) to eb3. SO Eb2 gets a fair chunk of the greed cards, and over and above that you now want the IV core to further drop everything else and help JUST eb2 out? And who should make this demand? None other than someone who is trying to BREAK the community up into Eb2 vs Eb3.

Please read my signature section below for the progression of my applications. I am relieved that USCIS actually has my applications and can rest assured that those documents will sit on someone's desk or shelf for God knows how long ;)
It took more or less 30 days to process my filing, and hopefully you will see that happening as well.
