I'm guessing ppl who got LUDs recently (mostly on 21st) have been assigned visa numbers which are going to be released only nxt month and they will be approved only in the beginning of Sept.
Visa numbers for this month have been used up. And going by the # of ppl who got LUDs even if they were not current, my assumption is that their applications were in the same box as the ones who were current and it was a mass update. I think come Sept, they're going to take all applications out of the "LUD Boxes" and sort out only those who are current and start approving them.
Again, its all assumptions...Nobody knows for sure whats going on...

Your employer do NOT have to give LC or Original 140 to you for invoking AC21. If you have 485/AOS receipt ( which is your personal property) and you got a copy of 140 receipt ( if not approved) / copy of approval notice and that 485 shows more than 180 days from RECEIPT DATE you are good to switch Jobs.
Just keep in touch with Attorney in case if any RFE comes - so that he contacts you now instead of your previous employer. If you are a self-filer or have hired your own Lawyer even you dont have this headache.
When changing Jobs - be responsible on your own , so that you can respond to the RFE satisfactorily. Also make sure you get a letter from new employer that they want to recruit you on a permanent basis quoting your Salary and Job description.

Hi,
I 485 reached Nebraska on 3rd July, received by F.Heinauer 11.14 AM. I140 approved by Nebraska. Checks encashed today by Nebraska. I think, atlast, they started digging the 2nd and 3rd july filers applications. Hang on guys we should be getting the reciepts soon.

What I am saying is all should stand in line purely based on priority date, no matter whether he is Chinese, Indian, Japanese, or Nigerian. as a fellow human being my heart is full of sad by knowing your position. may god bless you and your family. as moderator (i think it was logiclife) said, you can not trust american doctors. go to a different country. if you are from india, i would suggest you to go to chennai / hyderabad and get checked. there may not be any cancer at all. you may be surprised with what miracles indian doctors can do. the survival of this dangerous illness is by staying positive about life. drugs will help, but having faith that you can overcome is very important. i pray for you and your family. ofcourse, when i pray daily the entire universe is added in my praryers. may god help all who needed help from him.

I and my wife have been SCREAMING, FIGHTING for over four years now. We are now so frustrated that we have EVEN DISCUSSED THINGS LIKE TAKING UP OUR LIVES !!! I really mean it. For both of us, our career is the single most important thing.
We had decided to wait for our next step in life like having a kid or putting in a big investment till we both at least have a job. Inspite of both of us having Masters degress from US universities, we are both suffering - me languishing in a filthy job and my wife on H4 - for the past 5 years !!! She is now more than 35 making it difficult to have kids etc...
I don't have the choice of going back to my home country due to many other personal reasons. I just don't know what to do... I am losing my sanity.
Man, this website relieves my stress as it makes me realize that there are people whole lot depressed than I am , and it puts my life into perspective. Stress is only a state of mind.
For you sir, please live up to your username and cheer up. First thing you need to do is make a baby, everything will fall in it's place, trust me.

Finally we have decided to go back to India for good. I filed my EB3 in May 2003. Its going to be another 4 years to get the green card. When I went to India for vacation last December, we liked it over there & the economy is booming. There are all sorts of discussion regarding the Economic Gap/Politics/Corruption/Cleanliness. But we like it over there. Finally I will have an option to do something interesting. In US I was very much dependent on my monthly pay check and afraid to take even the slightest risk. I am also scared to use the AC21(Hey, thats the way I am). I am working with the same company for last 10 years, kinda stagnant in the last 4 years. In India, there are lots of choices, either to work for a sw company or start some business on my own. I think I will take the business route.
May be I can go there, earn well, send my son to US for college, do green card through him & come retire in US!!!

I hate to get into the intricate details of how our receipt notices are going to be processed at NSC,TSC or LUDs etc., But after going through so many threads for 2 weeks, I thought I can write up something on Friday afternoon.
LUDs: This may mean some processing on our files whether it is approved I140 or approved H1B. My first H1B of year 1998 got LUD as 07/07/07, year 2002 H1B got LUD in June 2007 and I-140 LUD as 07/28/2007. But in the current 485 context, I think NSC is updating our I-140 files based on current residence and putting some flag to segregate files for NSC or TSC. Seeing few threads, what I noticed is if someone living in NSC jurisdiction states like Illinois, Arizona etc, NSC started issuing receipt notices irrespective of where his/her 140 approved. If you expect the IV core to dedicate it's time JUST for a particular secction of people, then you need to justify that demand.
In your opinion, EB3 is a LOWLY category as compared to EB2. So it is not enough that Nurses feed from it and just about EVERYONE else feeds from it. To top it off, overflow from eb1 goes FIRST to eb2 and then (and almost NEVER) to eb3. SO Eb2 gets a fair chunk of the greed cards, and over and above that you now want the IV core to further drop everything else and help JUST eb2 out? And who should make this demand? None other than someone who is trying to BREAK the community up into Eb2 vs Eb3.

That's why I said before;some people are pretty sure that if democrats win, we will be alright. In my view it may turn out to be the opposite. Democrats favor illegal immigration. I think they are less inclined to pass our SKULL bill alone. I strongly believe that that democrats would rather attach our bill to the CIR/illegal alien amnesty bill, which still will be controversial to pass. Even if Sen. Specter and his team manage to flood America with illegal aliens, then we may take a hit from the collateral effects caused by millions of applications at USCIS.
If Republicans win, we are problably in a better shape.
